Prep Hoops takes a look at some of the best shooters in the 2018 class throughout the Palmetto State.
Jakobe Dill – Heritage Academy (Hilton Head) (pictured on front)
Dill comes to the Hammerheads from Beaumont, TX. Dill has had some huge games this season for Head Coach Cody Hopkins and the Hammerheads. Dill is currently averaging 23.5 ppg and on 7 different occasions this season he has made over 6 three pointers in a game.
Dill played AAU last summer with the Houston Defenders. Dill has received interest from Liberty, Fresno State, The Citadel and Western Kentucky according to Hopkins.
Bryson Rose – Academic Magnet (North Charleston)
Rose is a virtual unknown but that could change depending on the Palmetto State record book for three pointers made. Rose made 123 three pointers last season for the Raptors and this year to date as made 86 three pointers.
Rose 5’11 guard has scored 1,423 career points and is averaging 18.7 ppg this season. Rose is looking to attend Clemson University of the Coast Guard Academy next fall.
Bradwin Salmond – Lugoff-Elgin HS (Lugoff)
Salmond is having s big season for the playoff bound Demons 16-6. Salmond has connected on (64-181) from three point range this season. Salmond is averaging 13.9 ppg and will play baseball next season at Spartanburg Methodist College.
Shamar Matthews – Andrews HS
Matthews has had some big games for the Yellow Jackets this season. Matthews has his squad in the playoffs next week in the Class 2-A ranks. Matthews is averaging 17.4 ppg while connecting on 54-127 from behind the arc.
Anthoney Ray – Midland Valley HS (Graniteville)
Ray is a very slender-sleek athlete that excels out on the perimeter. Ray has the Mustangs in the playoffs next week as a #4 seed out of the region. Ray has connected on 52-177 from three point range while averaging 18.8 ppg this season.
Robert Swanson – Myrtle Beach HS
Swanson has been a staple in the Seahawks lineup for the past 3 seasons. Swanson is averaging 19.9 ppg this season while connecting on 49-95 from three point range. Swanson a great student in the classroom has scored 1,248 career points for the Seahawks.
