Class of 2020 Post Stock Risers
What big men have helped their stock the most this high school season and got a jump in the latest PrepHoopsIllinois Rankings. We examine those guys here!
PF Seryee Lewis (Kenwood)
Previous Ranking: #20
Current Ranking: #17
A lot of the post prospects in this class our thoughts remained about the same on them as the last update. Lewis is a prospect however that despite missing the first half of the season because of transfer rules he really impressed us in their game against Curie. He showed big time athleticism playing above the rim high pointing rebounds, finishing with athleticism around the hoop, and altering shots inside. He needs to get tougher and continue to develop physically to max out, but there is definitely something to like with his young big man.
PF Aaron Tims (Hinsdale South)
Previous Ranking: #39
Current Ranking: #31
Tims is a 6’7” forward that impressed us with his play at the Pangos Camp in the fall. He was equally as impressive at the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic. The angular forward played mostly on the interior and was extremely efficient with his touches in the post. He made quick moves when the ball touched his hands using the glass to finish. Tims is a good athlete that flashes to the ball, catches, and finishes in the blink of an eye. Solid rebounder. Tims is a name that should be on the low-major radar early in the process.
C Michael Huene (St. Viator)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #50
Huene is an intriguing 6’8” post. The skilled big man has nice footwork in the post and an array of skilled post moves. At times he can over think it and do too many moves. Can score with a hook shot over both his right and left shoulders. Gives his guard a big target to throw the ball into. Willing passer out of the post. Could add some strength which will help him finish more consistently. Funky release on free throw. Potential to be a good rebounder high pointing them in traffic. Huene is a player that we are looking forward to seeing how he develops as we have been impressed with what he showed in spurts as a sophomore.
