Class of 2020 PG Stock Risers
What lead guards in the 2020 class elevated their stock the most in the latest PrepHoopsIllinois Rankings? Here is a few that did just that!
Ahron Ulis (Marian Catholic)
Previous Ranking: #28
Current Ranking: #10
Ulis has elevated his stock during his sophomore season. We have seen him play multiple times and came away very impressed in each evaluation of the lead guard. He is a slick handling floor general that can get to the rim at a high rate. Finishes tremendously well around the rim with his body control. Excellent passer that makes quality decisions with the basketball in the half court. Mid-major programs should be monitoring his progress.
Marcus Watson (Morgan Park)
Previous Ranking: #34
Current Ranking: #19
Watson is in the shadow of Dosunmu and Miller for the Mustangs in their backcourt, but he has shined through in multiple games we have seen including when their star senior was not 100% at the Highland Shootout. Watson was outstanding consistently getting to the rim and pushing it in transition for scores. The lefty is a scoring point guard that is flashy with the ball in his hands.
Carter Dawson (Pontiac)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #47
This Pontiac point guard might be one of the unsung prospects to watch in the sophomore class. First aspect that stands out is size for position at 6’4” for a lead guard. He plays with a high IQ and feel for the game especially in the half court. Works well in the pick and roll. Capable shooter from three. We look forward to watching his development!
