Books & Ball: College Prospects with High GPA’S
Kerr-Vance Academy Senior Guard Andreas Wilson: This young man has a vertical that is 40+ inches high and is more than just an athletic player, he can score the ball in multiple ways and has a very nice IQ for the game. So what’s high than his vertical? His GPA, Andreas currently holds a 4.5 GPA to go along with his 20 Points a game average.
Terry Sanford Sophomore Wing Yates Johnson: There is quite a bit to like about this young man on the court, he’s 6’5 with an outstanding skillset and will only get better over the next two years. In the classroom he handles his business as well and is one of Terry Sanford High School’s stellar student athletes.
Bunn HS Senior Guard Ghage Kenan: Not many people are talking about Bunn HS but they have some players that can play on the next level without a doubt and Gage is one of them. He’s put together some very nice performances on the court as well as in the classroom as he currently holds a GPA of 3.9
New Hanover HS Forward Josh Aldrich: Josh is one of the nicest kids that you will probably cross paths with, he is always respectful, handles his business on the court and in the classroom. Academically he has a 4.5 GPA, while athletically he has produced well for New Hanover High School. As the son of a college coach you can tell that he’s been around the game a lot and understands how to get going within a team concept.
Fayetteville Christian Junior Forward Bennet Newman: In his first year of varsity basketball he has performed very well on the court, at one point this season he was averaging over 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assist per game. The lefty has a smooth shooting stroke and doesn’t seem to get rattled regardless of who they play. In the classroom he is a star without a doubt, holding a GPA of 4.4, schools should be tracking this young man throughout the summer and into his senior year.
Liberty Christian Academy Freshman Guard Daymon Beckwith: In his first season , he has not wasted any time and has put together an impressive season averaging over 20 points a night. In the classroom he is handling business as well with a 4.0 GPA, he is one to keep a close eye on over the few years out in Jacksonville, NC.
