With only a few regulars season games left this week before regions start, every game is crucial for seeding in the region tournaments. With some great late season matchups this past week, there was bound to be some movement in the rankings. Most notably in Class A and Class B were we see some new faces emerge late in the year.
Very simply… pick names out of a hat 1-10 and that’s as scientific as these rankings. Class AA is WIDE OPEN as every team has proven they can beat each other. RC Central won the rematch of the Rapid City schools and they regain the top spot. Aberdeen Central is the hottest team as they’ve won six on a row and now jump up to #6 this week.

#1 through #5 stay exactly the same as they have the past few weeks. Sisseton jumps to #6 and Dakota Valley falls to #8 after a couple of tough losses. Sioux Falls Christian remains the team to beat as they finish up their regular season this Friday night, looking to go a perfect 20-0. Miller jumps into the top ten this week at #10 and they have a great chance for an excellent seed if they make it sweet 16.

Corsica-Stickney moves in to the top five as they swap spots with Corsica. Colman-Egan is the big mover this week after a win over Canistota. The C-E Hawks now sit at #7 after not being ranked for most of the season. Arlington also is new to the top ten as they enter at #10 after some nice wins of late. Irene-Wakonda departs the top ten after a few losses, however don’t be surprised if they are back in after regions because they’ve rattled off some upset wins.
