2018 Stock Risers Guards
Prep Hoops takes a look at some guards both point and combo guards that have seen some stock rise in their games this month.
Skylar Williams – West Ashley HS (Charleston) (pictured on front)
Williams has the Wildcats 19-3 on the season and recently went over 1,000 points in his career. Williams 6’0 is averaging 13.2 ppg this season on a very well balanced team with 4 players scoring in double digits. Williams currently has 1,019 points.
Kevin Williamson – Aiken HS
Williamson 6’3 is back after being injured for the Fighting Green Hornets. Williamson plays with a great motor on the floor. Williamson really plays the passing lanes great and plays with such a positive attitude on the floor at all times. Great teammate. The Green Hornets are 19-2 on the season.
Tristian Nieves – Colleton County (Walterboro)
Nieves recently scored 36 points vs Hilton Head. Nieves currently has 1,050 career points for the Cougars (16-6). Nieves might need to entertain junior college according to Cougars Head Coach Jacob Smith.
Ephraim Butler – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner)
Butler makes things go for the Stags. Butler a point guard is currently averaging 21.2 ppg and 3.8 assists for the Stags. Butler a solid student in the classroom has had some nibbles from NCAA D1 schools but nobody has offered yet.
Jonathan Breeland – Blythewood HS
Breeland has had a great year for the 19-2 Bengals. Breeland has a great skill set on the floor. Breeland can knockdown shots and get the ball to the rack. Breeland is averaging 15.2 ppg this year. Breeland played AAU this past summer with the South Carolina Tigers 17U.
Tyrek Epps – The King’s Academy (Florence)
Epps makes the Lions offense go to a tune of 27.2 ppg a night. Epps a point guard moved into the SCISA school this past fall after playing at nearby Lake City HS. Epps played this summer with TMP 17U on the AAU circuit. Epps is a big fish in a small pond for sure recently had Presbyterian (SC) in for a game he told Prep Hoops.
Jermaine Patterson – Bluffton HS
While doing this segment – Patterson ranked #28 in the Palmetto State committed to Queens University (NC) NCAA D2 program.
