2018 Rankings Update: Central/Western VA Wings (Part 3)
As we continue to breakdown our prospect rankings, we take a look at part three of the wings who play high school basketball in the Central and Western regions of VA.
CJ Rosser | 6’2” | Heritage-Lynchburg (#94 Overall)
Rosser is wired to score the basketball and he does so with regularity as he joined the 1,000 point club this season. At 6’2”, he can play on and off the ball, gets to his spots and scores it from all three levels. He plays with pace and has a good feel for the game as well.
J’Quan Anderson | 6’1” | Albemarle (#95 Overall)
A Glenville State commit for football, Anderson has a mix of touch and physicality in his game that makes him a mismatch. He can shoot the deep ball, scores it in the midrange and can put it on the floor and attack. He’s surprisingly shifty for his size, and can score it in bunches when he gets it going.
Teemu Tumanoff | 6’4” | Miller School (#102 Overall)
One of the best role players in the state, there aren’t many guys that are completely okay with being a secondary player and still gives everything he has. He’s a great energy guy, he can make shots from downtown, he defends and rebounds as well. He’s committed to D2 University of Charleston in West Virginia.
Noah Atwood | 6’2” | George Wythe (Wytheville) (#105 Overall)
A high motor and stat sheet stuffer, Atwood has gotten better every year at George Wythe. He’s a shooter who makes shots from deep, but he’s also a guy who rebounds at both ends and gets his team second chance opportunities. He gets after it and has a toughness about him, along with decent size as a shooter as well.
Tyson Hancock | 6’2” | Brookville (#111 Overall)
A scoring guard with a lot of natural ability, Hancock can fill it up in bunches and typically gets stronger as the game goes on. In transition he thrives, as he’s a crafty ball handler and a good finisher in traffic. He’s a good shooter, can play on and off the basketball and has decent size to play both guard positions, and he’ll likely prep a year to get stronger and hone his skills.
Cameron O’Conner | 6’4” | Northside (#133 Overall)
Arguably the best shooter int he Roanoke area, O’Conner has the perfect role as a floor stretcher for Northside and he has the green light when he’s in the game. He’s money from the corners, and his size allows him to guard in the post and help on the glass. He’s a specialist who is needed on the floor.
