2018 Oklahoma Newcomers
Prep Hoops Oklahoma released the final 2018 Prospect Rankings yesterday. This list provides the newcomers to the rankings. .
RayQuan Elliot 2018 Nathan Hale Guard
Elliot has had a tremendous senior year taking the state in awe with his scoring talents. The Nathan Hale senior landed an offer from Pittsburg State this year and will have more NCAA Division II and JUCO offers to come.
Ryan Gendron 2018 Bishop Kelley Wing (Oklahoma State Baseball)
Gendron is headed to play Baseball for the Pokes, but if he was not he would be a hot recruit after the year he is having for Bishop Kelley. On the Wing, he is built well around 6’3 with sneaky athleticism and a good jumper.
Brevin Nyberg 2018 Seiling Guard
If it was not for Nyberg playing in Class A he would be known better around the state of Oklahoma. He is a competitive Guard that thrives with the ball in his hands. What separates him from so many players is his high basketball IQ and the ability to do so many positive things on the court for a team.
Jake Thompson 2018 Owasso Wing
For most of his high school career, Thompson starred on the baseball diamond. This year he has taken his basketball talents to new heights becoming a force on the Wing. The best things Thompson brings to the table are toughness, good shooting stroke, and sneaky athleticism. Thompson will likely play baseball in college, but if he does opt to go basketball would be a good fit at an NAIA Division II program.
Nate Davis 2018 Centennial Guard
Centennial used a two guard duo to advance to Area this year. One of those Guards is a senior standout, Nate Davis. He is a quick Guard that excels creating offense off the dribble. Best way to describe Davis is a high volume scorer that gets his points each night.
CJ Cochran 2018 Preston Guard
Cochran is a crafty Guard that can fill it up from all three levels on the court. He would be a good get for a small college JUCO or NAIA Division II program.
Drake Stoops 2018 Norman North Guard (Oklahoma Football)
Stoops is hanging up his basketball shoes after this year to pursue a college football career at Oklahoma. But before he retires from basketball he is putting on a show at Norman North. He is the ultimate do-everything glue guy for Norman North.
Kevin Farmer 2018 Lawton Ike Forward
Farmer is going to be a steal for the small college that finds him late. He is an undersized 4 man around 6’4 that can stretch the floor with his three-pointer. Contrary to many stretch four’s nowadays Farmer is not afraid to be physical in the paint. Farmer would be a good get at any small college level it is just going to depend on fit.
Reagan Streck 2018 Lincoln Christian Guard
Streck is a sharpshooter from the outside for Lincoln Christian. The consistency of Streck scoring the basketball well will attract small colleges. He could be a great find for an NAIA Division II program.
Malachi White 2018 Edison Forward
Edison uses White a ton in the paint as a Forward to gobble up rebounds. White is a player with a lot of versatility in the paint that is most effective at rebounding and scoring the basketball. Size will limit him to the small college level. He works hard on the court.
Adam Saine 2018 Tahlequah Sequoyah Forward
Saine is a stretch four that shoots the ball well as a Post. He is a guy that could provide depth and scoring to an NAIA Division II program’s bench.
Jeremiah Decker 2018 Ringwood Post
Decker could be a steal for a small college late. He is a project, but one that does not come along often with his 6’9 frame. Ringwood used Decker this year as their #2 scorer and he was one of the best rebounders in Class A.
Seth Martin 2018 Fort Gibson Forward
Martin can fill it up scoring at a high rate. He is a baseball star for the Tigers as well. In a recent game, Martin posted a career-high 43 points.
Bobby Cade 2018 Tahlequah Sequoyah Guard
Cade is an athletic undersized guard that can play on both ends. He brings it each game and would be a good glue guy with upside for a small college NAIA Division II program.
