Village vs Northwood Temple : 10 Best
Northwood Temple Senior Forward Ian Steere: If there is a more powerful dunker in the state than this young man, you will need to show me because I don’t believe it. Every time he dunks the ball it seems as if the whole gym rattles, he also has gotten much better with his back to the basket and blocking shots at a high rate.
Northwood Temple Junior Guard Josh Nickelberry: Josh is playing the Point Guard spot which is much different than his natural position on the wing, however the more time he has spent on the ball , the better he has played as he is getting more comfortable. He is an outstanding athlete that can play above the rim but also still posses his knock down shooting ability.
Village Christian Junior Guard Travion McCray: Over the last few games he has proven himself to be one of the top scorers in the area, he can play above the rim and knocks down the deep ball at a nice rate. On the defensive end he really gets after it and takes pride in being the best defender that he can be.
Village Christian Senior Guard Junub Char: This was his first game back so he is still feeling his way out and getting into game shape but you can see his talent level without a doubt. He’s crafty with the ball, can finish through contact and has a nice IQ for the game, MM programs have offered already.
Northwood Temple Sophomore Forward Travon Jackson: Every team needs a player that can bring the energy needed to win games and that’s what Trae does for NWTA. He’s always active on the defensive end and on the glass, he blocks shots, rebounds, and finishes above the rim.
Northwood Temple Junior Wing Brandon Franklin: This is the first season that he is getting some valuable on court time so he is still learning and finding his way. He knocked down a big time trey ball late in the game that helped to shift the momentum of the game in favor of the Eagles.
Village Christin Junior Wing Khuath Gatkuoth: An off shooting night kept him from making the impact that he normally does but one thing about KG is that his confidence does not waiver. He stayed aggressive, rebounded the ball fairly well and made some plays late in the game to keep it going.
Village Christian Junior Forward Chris Dodoo: Once the game began he was very productive inside finishing around the basket. He scored all of his 7 points in the 1st quarter and played with energy throughout , his next step will be to maintain his high level play throughout the game.
Village Christian Junior Forward Derrick Quansah: He continues to improve each time you see him play, he has the height, length and shot blocking ability that makes you see him as a D1 prospect without a doubt.
Northwood Temple Sophomore Guard Jay Hickman: Jay had been in a shooting slump for the last few games but he found his way out of during the right time. Although he only finished with 7 points, he provided a much needed spark and gained valuable experience with playing in such a highly competitive game.
