Updated 2020 Rankings
It is always good to do updated rankings and see what kind of movement has been taking place with a few months in between each time we do it. The 2020 class had some change in the top of the rankings and throughout.
One of the biggest movers was Day’Ron Sharpe who jumped up to number two in the rankings being guard Jaden Springer of Rocky River High School. Sharpe is a 6-foot-9 big man out of South Central High School. He has had UNC assistant coach Steve Robinson in to see him recently.
Another big movement in the 2020 rankings was South Carolina product Javarzia Belton who is now at WestRidge Academy in Kernersville, North Carolina. He is 6-foot-9 and is up in the rankings at #12.
WestRidge Academy also hosts #18 Omarion Jay, a 6-foot-7 forward.
The #10 spot now belongs to Ben L. Smith High School point guard Camren Hayes. The scoring point guard out of Greensboro has been rising up recruiting boards.
Jalen Cone out of Walkertown High School is #3 in the updated rankings. He is one of the most electrifying guards in the state and has ACC offers to match.
North Mecklenburg High School guard Tristan Maxwell comes in at #4 in the updated rankings.
Big man Justice Ajobor is in at #5 this go around. He has been having a strong season and will continue to develop under PSB over the summer.
The #6 spot in 2020 goes to Ben L. Smith big guard Silas Mason. Mason has the college size and the game is coming along to match.
6’8 F Georges Lefebvre of Cape Fear Academy comes into the rankings at #8.
The #9 spot belongs to Josh Banks of Olympic High School in Charlotte.
The second highest rated WNC player was Norance Berry, a 6’3 guard out of Christ School and 6’2 Lee Langstaff of Carolina Day School coming in at #14.
