UNSIGNED Seniors with Double-Doubles
Prep Hoops is taking a look at some players from the Palmetto State who are currently UNSIGNED and bringing down a double-double every night.
Jerrel Kelly – Laurence Manning Academy (Manning)
Kelly 6’9 left-handed slender forward has his Swamp Cats (15-5) on the season under Head Coach Will Epps. Kelly is averaging 13.6 ppg and 12.8 rebounds this season. Kelly is a great passer and is handing out 4.7 assists. Old Dominion, Canisius (Head Coach Reggie Witherspoon) and Texas Tech (Head Coach Chris Beard) all came into see the forward this past fall.
Kyron Gray – Hartsville HS
Gray is averaging 17.1 ppg and 14.5 rebounds for the Red Foxes this season. Gray had a great first semester of play. Gray 6’7 can play with his back to the basket.
Travis Walters – Loris HS
Walters has his team currently still undefeated at 14-0 in the Class 3-A ranks. Walters does what he does around cup at 18.5 ppg and 13.9 rebounds a outing. Walters isn’t flashy but VERY effective. Loris HS is located in Horry County just 24 miles away from North Myrtle Beach.
Dijon Goss – Carvers Bay HS
Goss 6’4 small forward has the Bears ranked #2 in the latest 2-A poll. Goss has really improved his game and confidence this season for the 16-2 Bears. Goss is at 15.6 ppg and 10.5 rebounds a night. Goss really excels in the transition and was a North-South Football Game member this past fall as a wide receiver.
Daquan Carswell – North Charleston HS
Carswell has kind of came out of nowhere this season along with the 15-2 Cougars. Carswell visit take a visit to Francis Marion University (SC) (NCAA D2). Carswell has received interest from Coker College (SC) (NCAA D2) and Bob Jones University (SC). Carswell is averaging 14.5 ppg and 15.5 rebounds this season.
Eric Burks – Stratford HS (Goose Creek)
Burks can play inside-out on the floor and prefers to play on the perimeter. Burks has bit of slow developing shot. Burks is averaging 13.6 ppg and 11.1 rebounds this season for the Knights.
Zach Johnson – Saluda HS
Johnson 6’4 athletic forward is hoping to get into the post season with his Tigers squad. Johnson can really cover some ground on the floor is averaging 11.2 ppg and 10.5 rebounds.
BJ Fuller – Cross HS (pictured on front)
Fuller plays at a very small school down in Berkeley County. Fuller 6’4 rangy forward really plays the passing lanes well and lacks strength. Despite that Fuller is averaging 15.3 ppg and 10.8 rebounds for the Trojans this season.
