Tuesday Night Games to Watch (SD)

After an eventful weekend of basketball, Tuesday brings us even more basketball. It’s like Christmas in January! Two of the best scorers in the state headline our games to watch tonight.
Top Game:
#1 Sioux Falls Christian @ Tea Area
This is a game to watch if you are in the Sioux Falls area head down to Tea to watch two teams who placed first and third at state last year.
Sioux Falls Christian is coming off a great win at then No. 1 Madison last Friday. The Chargers ended the game on a 12-2 run to take down the Bulldogs on the road. Gavin Schnipper had 21 for the Chargers. For Tea Area with four returning starters from last years state title, no one would have guessed they would be 6-4 at this point in the season. But here they are entering Tuesday’s game on a two-game losing streak. Since returning from injury Noah Freidel has averaged about 29 points a game. Will Freidel continue his dominant scoring? Will Freidel get help from Justin Hohn, Kade Stearns, or Chris Morales? Can the Titans get back on the right track with an upset of the top-ranked team in Class A? Or will Sioux Falls Christian prove once again they are deserving of that top ranking?
Other Games That Are Worth Going To:
Vermillion Tanagers @ West Central Trojans
If you like points and want to catch a glimpse at a Mr. Basketball candidate in AJ Plitzuweit head on over to Hartford and watch the Vermillion Tanagers take on the West Central Trojans. Plitzuweit scored 52 points against Lennox earlier this season and recently had 41 against Garretson last Friday. The Trojans record may not reflect entirely on how good they are as they had played four of the top five teams in Class A so far this year. They have a relatively young team but don’t let that fool you. Will Plitzuweit drop another 40-plus game? Will the Trojans pull the upset? Will they be able to limit Plitzuweit?
#1 Harrisburg Tigers @ Yankton Bucks
Yankton’s Matthew Mors is the real deal, at 6’7 and only a freshman the dude is a monster. He can dribble, shoot, post up, pass, rebound and pretty much anything else. He recently received an offer to play at Creighton. On Saturday he scored a school-record 42 points. The Bucks will be going against the top-ranked team in AA, Harrisburg who is coming off a convincing win against Sioux Falls Washington on Friday where Chase Altenberg scored 20 and Nick Hoyt battling an illness had 19. Will Mors be able to lead his team to a huge upset? Will Harrisburg be able to keep Mors in check? Or will the Tigers pass another test?
