The ARS/Rescue Rooter Tampa Hoopfest wrapped up on Saturday with five games at Berkeley Prep. Here is a look at the top performers from the Day No. 2 at the Hoopfest. ICYMI: Day 1 top performers Serrel Smith (St. Pete) Last year it was a 39-point performance that opened eyes against Oak Hill. This weekend, Serrel Smith dropped 42 points in the 78-72 loss to powerhouse Oak Hill. Smith had 15 points in the fourth quarter alone as the Green Devils never stopped fighting despite trailing by double digits for much of the game. Smith, a senior Ole Miss commit hit clutch 3's including three from right in front of his team's bench in the second half. He is a pure scorer. Keldon Johnson (Oak Hill) Senior Kentucky commit Keldon Johnson is a slasher and he is hard to stop. St Pete did its best to contain him but he still managed 23 points. He had 21 points through three quarters of play as St. Pete used all its energy to take him out of the game. Johnson is going to be very sound at the next level with his all-around game. R.J. Barrett/Filip Petrusev (Montverde) Montverde was in cruise control for the entire night cap against host Berkeley Prep. Duke commit R.J. Barrett had 14 points, made up of mostly dunks in transition while Gonzaga commit Filip Petrusev also had 14 points in the 62-25. Both gifted seniors will be counted upon down the stretch as Montverde looks to win the national title, likely over Oak Hill later this season. Emmitt Williams/Niven Glover (Oak Ridge) It was the dunk show with senior forward Emmitt Williams and junior forward Niven Glover as the duo had 17 and 15 points respectively in the 81-45 win over Tampa Prep. Williams sat for much of the second half due to the big lead butl, prior to that, he wowed the crowd with his usual slams. Glover came on late in the third quarter with a streak of slams in transition. Quinn Slazinski (Huntington Prep) A lengthy junior, Quinn Slazinski led Huntington Prep with 18 points in a 62-53 victory over Victory Rock. He is a pure shooter who can work his way inside on attacks often. Slazinski works best as a spot up shooter, but his energy and grit stand out on both ends of the floor. He is a vocal leader. Gabriel Sharp (Tampa Prep) Despite the blowout loss to Oak Ridge, sophomore forward had a nice outing for Tampa Prep. He led his side with 15 points. He had some crafty lay-ins and looked up to the challenge. The Terrapins fell behind early making life tough, but more games like this from Sharp will do wonders for his confidence. Tyrieke Blakeney (West Oaks) West Oaks nearly rallied against an athletic IMG group in a 65-47 loss. Senior Tyrieke Blakeney led his side with 14 points while senior forward Rifen Miguel had 13 points and sophomore guard Selton Miguel added 10 points of his own. West Oaks is a determined team. Jahmius Ramsey (IMG) A bouncy junior guard, Jahmius Ramsey finished the job for IMG with a team-best 17 points. He earned help from top-end passing in transition, but he did a lot on his own. Seniors Darius Days and Keyshawn Embery did plenty with 13 and 11 points respectively. Michael Durr (Victory Rock) Senior USF commit Michael Durr is one that never stops battling. He posted 15 points in the afternoon loss to Huntington Prep. His counterpart, sophomore forward Kuany Kuany had nine points, all on drives to the rack. Durr provides seasoning and endless energy to this Victory Rock unit especially inside.
