That’s when the Arico Show began as he hit another triple and assisted an Adam Heisler (2018, F, Saline) bucket. Lewandowski scored every point for Bedford until Drake Smith (Bedford) hit two free throws with 19.2 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter. Bedford trailed Saline 25-12 at the half.

Turner hit one from the line while Ryan Koch (Saline) hit 1 of his 4 three pointers to extend Saline’s lead. Matt Kohler (Bedford) showed fight in the 3rd with 4 points and some solid defense. Saline’s Turner, Arico, and Koch stayed hot and led their team to a 56-32 lead heading into the final quarter. Lewandowski continued to battle scoring 24 points in the game, but Saline proved to be too much. The Hornets cruised to a 61-42 victory.
4 KEY QUESTIONS:
Can Ryan Koch stay hot?
Koch can shoot and everyone in Saline knows it. He’s been streaky so far this season, but if he can stay hot it provides Saline with another threat. The junior is strong on the defensive end as well, so he could be a key player in the second half of the season.
Who wouldn’t pay to see an Emmett Turner and Zach Lewandowski matchup?
High school basketball fans would want to watch this matchup every time. They are both big strong kids who aren’t afraid of contact. Both are fearless on the court.
When will Trevor Arico be ranked in the class of 2020?
He should be ranked right now. The young man has an understanding of the game that is beyond his years. Arico can stroke the ball from deep and is proving to be one of the best shooters in his class.
What college will be lucky enough to have Zach Lewandowski on their campus next season?
If he chooses to play college basketball, he should have options. He’s a strong player who is very comfortable in the post. He has a knack for finding layups and put backs. A D3 school should be thrilled to have him and if he can continue to improve his ball handling, D2 offers could come his way.
