Prospect Spotlight: Pierce Kiesler (2018)
When we last spoke with 6’7 senior forward Pierce Kiesler, we featured him in our Prospect Spotlight series back in August when the Kentucky high school year was just getting started. At that point Pierce had no college offers, but interest from a number of schools. He had laid out his goals for the season, which included averaging a double-double, making the Kentucky/Indiana All-Star game roster, and helping his team become of the the top teams in the region.
Flash forward to January and Kiesler has picked a couple D2 offers, is averaging 19 points and 8 rebounds (just shy of his double-double goal), and is leading St. Xavier in ever major statistical category.

Along with his 19 points and 8 rebounds per game, Kiesler is shooting over 60% from the field and almost 40% from 3-point range. He’s developing more of an inside/outside game and is working to become a more complete player. He also helped St. Xavier take Butler, one of the top teams in the state, to a triple-overtime near upset win. In that game he scored 27 points and 8 rebounds.
His interest from Wheeling Jesuit and Ohio Dominican nowhas turned into offers. Other schools showing interest include D2’s Davenport University, Kentucky Wesleyan, and NAIA’s Georgetown College, University of the Cumberlands, and University of Pikeville.
