Recruiting Report: John Horgan (2018)
Jamestown is an improved team this year at 6-5 with more veterans in their line-up including senior John Horgan.
“We have the talent to make it all the way,” Horgan told PHD. “If we clean up the little things we can play with all of the top teams. We will all keep working hard.”
The Jays have won five of their last six games and they are getting huge efforts from their junior class (Dawson Douty, Jared Kallenbach, and leading scorer Mason Walters) and sophomore Boden Skunberg. Jorgan is the top senior which makes him a key leader.
“We will have to face everyone for a second time and play hard and know who we are playing and what we need to do to win,” John said.
“Goals as a team are to make it to the state tournament. I would like to shoot better and rebound better to help the team out more.”
Horgan has had some big shooting games in his life and is hoping to get his stroke going again soon. He is the third leading scorer for his team and he may play at Bismarck State next year.
“I plan to attend BSC for college and maybe even play basketball there,” Horgan said.
Make that seven, and eight threes for 2018 Jamestown shooting guard John Horgan! Phenom up 62-47.
