Recruiting Report: Dajuan Gordon (2019)
Curie 2019 shooting guard Dajuan Gordon was a prospect we were pretty aggressive with his ranking after a strong spring and summer with Team Rose despite having not seen much varsity time. Gordon is extremely projectable with a 6’4” long frame with broad shoulders where he will definitely be able to add strength. Still fairly thin. His athleticism jumps off the floor. Explosive with the ball in his hands winning off the bounce and getting to the cup. He is learning how to finish in different ways including a euro step. Also is improving as a rebounder getting on the glass for offensive put backs. He is going to be a plus shooter long term with a clean release. Defensively if he wants to lock in he can be really good. He was extremely impressive when we saw him at Pontiac over the holidays. Mid-major prospect.
Gordon spoke about his season and role for Curie this year as a junior.
“It is going well. I am playing the sixth man role and bringing the energy. I try to pick everybody up.”
Where has he improved the most since the summer?
“Getting to the basket and getting stronger.”
He rattled off a list of schools that are involved in his early recruitment.
“Drake, Tulsa, Loyola, Montana, and more.”
Loyola is the only school he has been out to visit.
“It was a nice, clean, and expensive place. They said they like how hard I play.”
Gordon ran with Team Rose on the grassroots circuit this past summer and is a prospect that could blow up in the spring.
