Prospect Spotlight: Ryan Moffett (2020)
The Sophmore class in Washington is becoming a strong one, especially with players like Ryan Moffet.
Moffet is a very good offensive player off the ball. He’s able to navigate the floor to find open shots to add to his repertoire. He’s also a decent ball handler that can finish at the hoop in multiple different ways.
A couple of things that Moffet wants to work on is his defense and passing. He said that he specifically wants to work on his off ball defense.
His dream is to play college basketball but he knows at the age of 15 he still has a lot of work and maturing to do.
Most of his work will come at the high school level in the 1B Northeast Conference at Odessa/Harrington High School.
“I have been working in the weight room, gym, and classroom as hard as I possibly can to be able to achieve my goal of playing collegiate basketball. I know that I go to a small school and maybe the competition isn’t the greatest, but that’s what has driven me, people always telling I’m good because the teams I play aren’t or that I am to small or too slow to play college basketball. That is what has driven to prove to them I am better than them and I would like to carry that out through the the collegiate. The thing that separates me the most from most people is that a lot of athletes rely upon their athletic abilities to excel in life, that is why I have strived for greatness in the classroom as well, achieving a accumulative G.P.A. Of 4.0. I have always thought that all I need is one chance, one scholarship, and opportunity so that I could prove myself, and I would love to do that for whoever is willing to give me one.”
