Prospect Spotlight: Kye Jeremiah (2019)
Currently Georgia’s 74th-ranked 2019, Kye Jeremiah is looking forward to a big year ahead with both Holy Spirit Prep and his grassroots squad, Team Forest.
A 6-foot-1 combo-guard, we recently caught up with Jeremiah, who explained his strengths as a player to PHGA.
“I like getting to the basket and that’s what I’m best at. And defensive-wise, I like to guard my guy, that’s one of my favorite things to do,” said Jeremiah. “And I can knock-down open shots.”
His junior season at Holy Spirit Prep is in full-swing, and Jeremiah is off to a hot start, averaging 15 points and eight assists per game.
“The season has gone well so far. Right now I’m playing the point guard spot for my team, and I’m just trying to get all my teammates involved and get what I can,” he said.
“I’d like to get my assists up and average 10 per game before the season is over.”
And as soon as his junior season is complete, Jeremiah will embark on his 17U season, and hoping that he can drum up some recruitment during the offseason.
“I’m looking forward to probably getting more looks and hopefully picking up my first offer,” said Jeremiah. “I haven’t received any interest yet.”
