The City of Columbia had plenty of game action last night and Prep Hoops will take a look at some of the results right here in this article.
Ridge View Blazers defeated South Pointe HS 53-46. Crosby Harris-James (2019) led the way for the Blazers with 21 points while Patrick Jenkins added 10 points. Walyn Napper (2019) and and Malcolm Wilson (2019) added 8 and 6 points respectively.
Cardinal Newman knocks off city rival Hammond 73-64. Chico Carter Jr (2019) continues his hot play with 26 points. Francis Marion commit Brandon Pirie (2018) 17 points in the victory.
Lucas Prickett (2018) a 3 sport athlete led the Skyhawks with 20 points while sophomore Jordan Burch (2020) and Josh Lipsitz both added 12 points in the loss.
Robert Johnson (2019) scored 17 points in the Eau Claire Shamrocks win over Saluda 55-52. Javon Randolph added 14 points in the victory. Zack Johnson (2018) led the way for Saluda with 15 points and Dallan Wright (2020) scored 10 points.
Gray Collegiate got by region and city foe Keenan 54-44 last night. The War Eagles inproved to 11-4 on the season under Head Coach Dion Bethea. The War Eagles were led in scoring by Juwan Gary (2019) with 15 points, Khalil Robinson (2019)14 points and Tommy Bruner (2019)chipped in with 11 points.
Dillon Jones (2020) scored 18 points in the losing effort for the Raiders. Ervin Stone (2018) added 10 points and Raekwon Horton (2020) 8 points. The Raiders fall to 8-4 on the season.
Westwood HS had little trouble getting by Richland Northeast HS 66-46. Russell Jones (2019) led the charge with 1 points while Kendall Wormack (2019) added 14 points in the win.
Effix Miller (2018) scored 31 points and Keenan Coats added 16 points for the Swansea Tigers in a 64-53 victory over Gilbert HS last night. Greg Williams added 10 points for the Tigers. Senior standout Manny Bright (2018) was high man for Gilbert HS with 20 points.
Heathwood Hall defeated Augusta Christian (GA) 64-53 in SCISA action. The Highlanders were led in scoring by Isaiah Caldwell (2020) and Matt Lee (2018) with 17 points a piece. Nate Dunlop scored 25 points for Augusta Christian.
Dutch Fork HS defeated Lexington HS 49-38 behind Jaedon Williams (2018) with 23 points. University of South Carolina football commit Bryce Thompson added 10 points in the Silver Foxes victory.
