Palmetto State : 2020 Rankings
Prep Hoops changed up its rankings recently across the board for all the classes. Lets take a look at the 2020 class in this article.
Myles Tate pulls in the number #1 spot again. Tate a point guard from Dorman HS has had a solid season so far the Cavaliers.
Dillon Jones #2 played very well recently at the Crescent Construction MLK Bash last week vs Ridge View Hs. Jones recorded a double-double in the win.
Jalen Coit is currently averaging 21.4 ppg this season for the Cheraw HS Braves. Coit pulls down the #3 spot.
Jordan Burch maintains #4 spot and is really becoming a hot name in the football and basketball circles. Burch helped the Hammond Skyhawks to another SCISA State Football Championship this season. Burch has really put his name out there for Power 5 Football Conference. Burch has the talent to go either direction h would like.
CJ Plantin is back at Pendleton HS after playing the fall semester at Legacy Early College (Greenville). Plantin a left-handed forward doesn’t look to be eligible since returning back to his old high school. Plantin comes in at #5.
Emorie Knox is locked in at #6 and to my opinion is the 2nd best point guard in the state behind Myles Tate in the 2020 Class. Knox is not really well known off the Grand Strand since he runs with a local AAU team Myrtle Beach Phenoms. Knox has had chances to move on elsewhere but decides to play with a lot of neighborhood and school friends here. Knox is ultra quick from end to end and has been a fixture on the Seahawks roster since his 8th grade season.
Dashawn Murray and Dawjawuan Brown provide a great 1-2 punch for the North Charleston HS Cougars. This duo could this squad make a move in the Lower State 2-A ranks.
5 Potential Stock Risers this season.
Maliek Brown #12
Brown is a man among boys at times down at Palmetto Christian Academy. PCA is currently 17-1 on the season in SCISA 2-A.
Rayshon Harrison #14
Harrison really sees the floor extremely well. Harrison teams up with 2021 6’11 John Butler
Cincere Scott #19
Scott scored 28 points in a big win over rival North Augusta HS the other night.
Josh Rubio #33
Rubio is a brute in the paint for the Comenius School.
Zyan Gilmore #67
Gilmore plays at a small SCISA 1-A school Clarendon Hall in Summerton. Gilmore the other night scored 41 points on 19-28 from the floor.
