The Toledo City League favorites fell to 2-7 overall while the Southview Cougars improved to 8-0. Senior Ryan Fries, a Division I golf recruit, notched another 20-plus-point game, per The Toledo Blade.
Dec. 5: Maumee Valley (58) at Cardinal Stritch (69)
Stritch took command of the Toledo Area Athletic Conference with a balanced performance, beating Maumee Valley at home by 11 points.

Dec. 5: Springfield (48) at Lebanon (33)
Springfield went into Lebanon’s house and introduced them to their second loss of the season. Michael Wallace returned for Springfield after starting the season sidelined with an injury, per the Dayton Daily News.
Dec. 5: St. Vincent-St. Mary (55) at Lakewood St. Edward (62)
The Irish dropped another close game against a talented opponent. In his first game since opening night, sophomore Grant Huffman scored 12 points, per Cleveland.com.
Dec. 5: Oak Hills (61) at Mason (52)
Oak Hills 6’3” senior Nick Deifel met his season average of 15 points per game, leading Oak Hills to a crucial Greater Miami Conference victory in overtime. Oak Hills is 7-3 with losses to Moeller, Princeton, and St. X by a combined 27 points.
Dec. 6: Hughes (50) at Eastmoor Academy (54)
Eastmoor improved to 8-2 in a tough non-conference game against Hughes. The game snapped Hughes’ eight-game win streak.
Dec. 6: Wauseon (48) at Southview (43)
Wasueon rolled to their 30th consecutive regular season win over a previously-undefeated Southview team. Duquesne commit Austin Rotroff dropped 20 points for Wauseon, per The Toledo Blade.
Dec. 6: Benedictine (70) at Lakewood St. Edward (88)
The upperclassmen led the way for St. Edward as Demertrius Terry poured in 25 points and PJ Flannery scored 18 points. Benedictine junior Davin Zeigler added 17 points.
Dec. 6: Northland (40) vs. Hilliard Bradley (60) at Pickerington North
Cedarville signee Isaiah Speelman’s 25 points and halfcourt defense led to a dominate Bradley win over Northland. Bradley’s Braden Norris was held out of the game with a leg injury.
Dec. 6: Africentric (53) at Upper Arlington (55) at Pickerington North
Upper Arlington buzzer beaters by Casey Jones and, ultimately, Will Grabovac kept the Golden Bears undefeated in a double overtime thriller. Minnesota State commit Manning “Tre” Baumgardner III scored 27 points in the loss for Africentric.
Dec. 6: Beechcroft (55) at Pickerington North (67)
The largest team in Ohio took advantage of their size by pounding Beechcroft in the paint. Jerome Hunter joined the 1,000-point club and scored 28 on the night. Ross Ryan, a Centerburg transfer, made his debut for Pick North.
