Manual Extravaganza Evaluations: Indianapolis Manual (IN) vs. Chicago Marshall (IL)
In the final game of the Manual Extravaganza, Manual held off Marshall to take the win on their home floor 69-53. Willante Hankston led all scorers with 22 points for Manual.
Manual
Joshua Pack – 5’8 PG 2018 – Manual
Pack is a small point guard and in this one he really attacked the rim well, something I haven’t seen out of him that much. He hit an early three and then after that he just kept attacking the rim. A good small school guard that a school could take a flier on and mold him into something useable. – 11 points
Wilante Hankston – 6’2 SG 2019 – Manual
Hankston was by far the best player on the floor. Jalen Johnson couldn’t get going so Hankston took over the scoring load. Hankston’s first four baskets were three-pointers and after that he started to attack the rim. After his hot start, he cooled down but still was pretty good. – 22 points
Braxton Houston – 5’11 PG 2019 – Manual
Houston didn’t do that much, but did hit a few threes. He looks good in transition and passed the ball really well. In the half court when Pack didn’t have the ball, Houston looked really good running the offense and distributing the ball. – 10 points
Ali Alquraishy – 6’9 C 2018 – Manual
Alquraishy is a big bodied center inside and is a huge guy who can rebound the ball and score the ball. At this point, he’s more of a project piece right now but he can fill it up in a hurry in spurts. Was really solid in this one and was a really complete game for him. – 10 points, 9 rebounds
Marshall
Eddi Skipper – 5’9 SG 2018 – Marshall
Skipper got hot late in this one as he hit three shots from behind the arc as part of a total of five he made. A small senior guard who can score the ball in many ways and in this one we saw that he can rely on the deep ball and be really good from out there. – 15 points
Jonsal Harris – 5’11 SG 2019 – Marshall
Harris struggled early on in this one with fouling but once he got it going in the game, he looked really good. He hit a few jumpers and made a few deep ones. Harris is a guard who’s got a good body and with another year he could get to the point where he could be good at the next level. – 11 points
Brian Brooks – 6’2 SG 2020 – Marshall
Brooks is a young but really good guard for this team. The sophomore couldn’t really do anything wrong as he hit jumper after jumper in the second half. Brooks was solid and really made the game much closer than it should have been. A good game from the young guard. – 14 points
