Five Good Guys (Tuesday Night Standouts)
In our latest installment of “Five Good Guys,” he is a look at some of the standout performers from Tuesday night’s action around the state.
Demarcus Sharp 6’2″ Charleston: The 2018 guard put up a tremendous stat line in the Bluejays’ 92-61 victory over Caruthersville. “Harky” had 27 points, nine rebounds, three assists, four steals and four blocks in what was a complete performance. Sharp has been one of the top stock risers in Southeast Missouri this season.
Jake Goldfarb 6’0″ John Burroughs: The 2018 guard scored 25 points and made seven 3-pointers, including the game-winning trey at the buzzer in the Bombers’ 50-49 victory over Metro League foe Lutheran North. Goldfarb has been on a bit of a shooting tear in the past week. He also made seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points in a close loss to Ladue last week.
Ochai Agbaji 6’4″ Oak Park: The outstanding 2018 guard continued his stellar play with 31 points and 13 rebounds to lead Oak Park to a 57-38 victory over Ruskin. Agbaji was nine of 14 from the field and 10 of 12 from the free throw line. He has led the Northmen to a 14-2 record this season.
Trae Meny 6’5″ Battle: The 2018 wing scored a season-high 41 points in a big victory over Knob Noster in the first round of the Clinton Tournament. Meny was 13 of 15 from the field and made five 3-pointer on the evening.
Derrick Boyce III 6’3″ Pattonville: The 2018 scored a team-high 28 points to lead the Pirates to a 75-72 upset of a ranked Class 3 Whitfield last night. It was an excellent follow up performance to his 24 points, nine rebounds, six assists and five steals that he had in a victory over Kirkwood last Friday.
