Here is our latest installment of Five Good Guys, random look at five outstanding performances from the past weekend.
Cade Coffman 6’3″ Mountain Grove: The 2018 guard was the Most Valuable Player of the Mountain Grove Tournament after leading the Panthers to the championship. He scored a team-high 19 points in Mountain Grove’s 74-72 victory over Hartville in the championship game. Coffman has been one of the key players in the Panthers’ back-to-back Class 3 Final Four appearances.
Trent Lyles 6’0″ Sacred Heart: The 2018 point guard was the Most Valuable Player of the Slater Tournament after leading the Gremlins to the championship. Lyles scored a game-high 30 points in the Gremlins 69-54 victory over Jamestown in the championship game. The Gremlins are currently the No. 1 ranked team in Class 2.
Mitchell Fairless 6’5″ Duchesne: The 2018 forward scored a game-high 36 points in the Pioneers’ thrilling 77-74 overtime victory over Trinity. Duchesne trailed by 20 points in the third quarter and 14 points with less than four minutes to play in regulation before Fairless led a furious rally with his relentless attacking of the basket.
Jared Ravencamp 6’2″ Blue Springs South: The 2018 guard powered himself in the school’s record books after his brilliant performance in South’s 78-74 victory over Blue Springs. Ravencamp scored 39 points to break the school’s single-game scoring record. He broke another school record by making 17 free throws.
Dominique Hardimon 6’3″ Poplar Bluff: The 2018 forward led the Mules to a 50-48 victory over Cape Girardeau Central in a big SEMO Conference game last Friday. Hardimon scored 17 points and scored the game-winning points in a running bank shot with one second left in the regulation to give Bluff the victory. The powerful combo forward has been carrying the Mules this season with his scoring and rebounding.
