Evaluations: Triton Central vs. Scecina
Scecina got out to a very fast start but Triton Central battled back to take the lead. It was a very back and forth game with neither team gaining much of an upper hand. In the end, we saw the more athletic Scecina take the final lead and pull away for a 71-59 win.
Scecina
Manual Brown | 6’ PG | 2019
Brown was all over the court in this one. He made a ton of threes and scored a few baskets off of turnovers. He threw down a dunk as well in the game which was surprising. He did everything right and you are starting to see why the D1 interest and offers are appearing. – 15 points, 3 assists
Cobie Dillard | 5’11 PG | 2018
Dillard made five threes and shot the ball extremely well. He has really good court vision and will be able to stick at the point at the next level. He’s a quick defender as well getting his hands on the ball and stealing it three times. A really good football player as well. – 15 points, 5 assists
Kobe Clancy | 6’3 SG | 2018
Clancy played the worst of the three guards but still played a solid game. You can see flashes of his potential but he still hasn’t really put it all together quite yet. He struggled shooting the ball for the most part but made an impact with his leadership. – 8 points
Triton Central
Wyatt Felling | 6’1 SG | 2019
Felling is a shooting guard who has a good body on him already. He can take contact and loves to drive and shoot a baseline floater. He can score in bunches and while today wasn’t his best performance I caught glimpses of how good he could be. Made a couple tough shots and will be one of the better small school guards in the state next year. – 12 points
Michael Manns | 6’2 SF | 2018
Manns was the top scorer from all three games. He’s a guy who loves the inside and shows a high IQ with the way he cuts to the rim. Gets a lot of easy layups from slipping to the rim. A high motor guy who does everything pretty well but won’t blow you away with anything he does. – 20 points, 8 rebounds
Quinn Moffitt | 6’ SG | 2018
Moffitt is a shooter who loves to camp in the corners for spot up deep balls. He is able to make them and he crashes the boards hard from his spot on the floor. Moffitt is a big body who can mix it up inside backing guys down as well if he chooses to do so. – 9 points
David Steele | 5’11 SG | 2021
Steele is a thin guard who can get a shot off in close quarters and is solid on defense. He is a guy who is relied on for defense and if you leave him alone on offense he will hit a jumper. A really solid piece for Triton Central. He was 3-of-3 from deep in the game. – 9 points
