Brunswick (5-10) vs. Millwood (4-9)
The scoop: Do NOT let the records of these two squads fool you. Both the Bulldogs from Brunswick, and the Bobcats, of Millwood both enter Saturday’s contest under .500, but are similar teams, who should matchup well. Each squad has experienced it’s share of close games this season, and should begin the day with a solid, competitive matchup. Millwood’s 2019 duo of Daryl Anderson and Isaiah Motley are two exciting players to be on the lookout for.
St. Johns (13-7) vs. Bishop Sullivan (13-5)
The scoop: The St. Johns Cadets travel from Washington, DC, to take on the Crusaders, who will make the trip from the 757. The Crusaders feature point guard, Antwan Epps Jr, who is averaging 20ppg. The Cadets, feature UMass commit, Tre Wood, who is ranked as the #42 PG in the 2018 class by Rivals.com. The PG matchup between Wood & Epps shall be exciting, whichever of these guards has the upper hand, will lead their squad to a win.
Blue Ridge (15-5) vs. Massanutten (19-2)
The scoop: This matchup features two of Virginia’s powerhouse schools in a mid-day battle. Massanutten is led by Penn State commit, Rasir Bolton, while Blue Ridge features Liberty commit, Daruis McGhee. Neither team is a stranger to big matchups and should put on a show in the 3rd game of the tournament. With supporting members from each cast, it will be an exciting battle between the two basketball powerhouse schools.
