Three Rivers League: Top Wings
The Three Rivers League has some of the best competition in the state. Take a look at some of the best wing’s the league has to offer.
Stevie Schlabach key traits are his abilities to shoot and get to the basket. He shot 46% from 3 last year as a sophomore. Stevie had a big game against Tualatin last year with my season high 26 points. After that season and making first team All league that put Schlabach on the map for his junior season. “My junior season is gonna be the most important season of my highschool career so far and I will definitely surprise a lot of people and I am looking to dominate this year.”
“I believe I’m the best three point shooter in the state.” Jalen Thompson has a quick release, and can create for his teammates. Jalen shot 59% in the Les Schwab tournament last year. He can defend at a high level, and uses his quickness and good instincts to get lots of deflections and steals. Thompson had an outstanding Spring and Summer with Elite24, and demonstrated his ability to put up big numbers on the offensive end.
Alexis Angeles can attack and get to the rim and is capable to create for himself and his teammates. He can score at the rim, mid range, and from the 3pt line. Angeles uses his speed and skills to his advantage and can affect the game in many ways on both ends of the court. Angeles also uses his length to lockdown players on defense. “At the end of the day i just try to be the best teamamte i can be.”
JR Schilling, a 6’5 wing that can be very versatile and play any position his coach asks of him. Schilling is a great shooter and has a great feel for the ball as he can get to the rack and clean up the glass for his team. He has stretched his game out to not only attacking and shooting but also playmaking. He has tremendous vision and can find the open man. Schilling is going to be an impact player for the Lakers this year as he can cause problems on both offense and defense for teams.
