Terry Sanford vs Westover Standout Players
Terry Sanford got out to a fast start and got the lead up over 20 points , they would go into the half up 31-10. Westover would go on a run in the 2nd half and had a few chances to cut the lead to single digits, But Terry Sanford would roll on and get the win.
Terry Sanford Senior Forward Gabe Harbison: Gabe led all scorers with 16 points on the night and did a good job of bringing the same amount of energy on both ends on the floor. He defended multiple positions and didn’t try to do things outside of skillset.
Terry Sanford Senior Forward Holt Walker: He can knock down the outside shot at a very good rate especially off the catch. Although he is known for shooting the deep, he rebounded the ball well throughout, finishing with 14 points & 11 rebounds.
Terry Sanford Junior Guard Dante Bowlding: Dante has taken on the PG duties with the loss of Malik Johnson due to a broken wrist. He stepped up and played well throughout scoring the ball at a decent rate as well as keeping his turnovers low.
Terry Sanford Sophomore Ezemdi Udoh: An intriguing player that should be kept on the radar for upcoming years. Although he only scored two points, he was an impact player on the floor and has some of the raw tools that make him a nice prospect.
Westover Junior Guard Thomas Hendricks: It’s been years since I first saw Thomas play and he has continued to improve offensively. He stepped up for his squad big time in the 2nd half when they needed more offense to cut the lead, finished with 11 points.
Westover Junior Guard Tyron George: One of the best athletes on the floor, he can make plays above the rim and has a strong frame. He made a nice impact on the defensive end, constantly pressuring the opposition and forcing turnovers.
Westover Junior Forward Jalin Thorne: This was a quiet game for Jalin but he showed flashes of how good he can be. He has good hands and a soft touch around the basket, when he plays at his own pace he can be very productive.
Westover HS Senior Guard Justin Ward: Justin knocked down some treys for the visiting squad as they faced some offensive struggles throughout this game. His senior leadership will be big time for this squad going forward, finished with 8 points.
