Team Preview: Lake Oswego (2017)
Marshall Cho starts his third year as the Lake Oswego Lakers head coach. The Lakers finished 4th in a tough Three Rivers league last season and also graduated 7 seniors, but there future still looks bright. They will be returning Shawn Elliot, a highly skilled post presence that plays with a ton of grit on defense, Josh Angle, a 3 pt sharp shooter who has also improved his defense in the offseason, Rory Corrigan, a sharp shooter who can spread the floor and is a very vocal leader on and off the court and JR Schilling, a wing that can do it all.
They will also be adding new additions of Fred Harding, a huge presence in the paint with long arms and body, Brandon Roberts, a very hard worker, will do anything you ask and plays an enormous role on defense and Sam Abere, a young guard who plays well on defense and has improved his shot a bright future out of him.
Keep an eye out this year for Josh Angle, Jr Schilling and Shawn Elliot. “I’m really confident in the team this year. We have a lot of young talent that can help us not only this year but for years to come. This year we are playing with a better pace and starting to push the ball up the floor more for transition buckets and our guards and bigs are spreading the floor well enough for us to do that” JR Schilling.
The Lakers prep with a tough pre season opening with Skyview. They will also be attending the Les Schwab Invitational at the end of December.
