Recruiting Report: Khalil Robinson (2019)
We came away very impressed with 2019 point guard Khalil Robinson from Gray Collegiate with his play at the Chicago Elite Classic. The junior lead guard has such great feel for the game. Quick lead guard that got in the lane consistently. He is a creative passer once he gets in the paint finding teammates for easy scoring opportunities. Lots of dump off passes for assists. Did force a few for turnovers. As a scorer he is a solid mid-range shooter and likes using a runner. He had 14 point and 7 assists. Should be on the mid-major and low-major radar.
How was his experience at the CEC?
“It was very good bonding together as a team and being in a different town.”
He discussed the best parts of his game.
“My strengths are getting my team involved, running the team, and being positive.”
Where has he improved the most since last season?
“Being aggressive on the offensive end. Creating my shot which opens up things for my teammates.”
Robinson spoke about his recruitment with PrepHoopsSC.
“I am getting interest from Iowa and Bucknell. I have offers from Hampton, East Carolina, College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, and Western Kentucky.”
What will be important in a school for him?
“I am looking for education and ones that will help me improve as a player.”
