Recruiting Report: Kejuan Clements (2019)
Simeon junior Kejuan Clements is one of the top 2019 point guards in the state of Illinois. Strong guard that can also slide over and play some two when he has too. More of a scoring point guard that excels attacking off the bounce and getting out in transition. Finishes well in the lane with acrobatic layups and body control. Streaky jump shooter from three. Mid-major to low-major prospect.
Clements spoke about what he will bring to the Wolverines this year.
“A leader and a lead guard. Get the team hyped on defense. Anyone can score on this team. I want to make sure we get stops on defense.”
What has he improved in his game this past year?
“Attacking the rim. Last season I wasn’t attacking the rim like I should have. That is what I am looking forward to this year. Attacking the rim and getting guys open.”
He updated us with his recruitment and what schools he is talking to the most.
“I have been talking to Drake, Kent State, and Miami (OH). Tulsa has been texting me every day.”
Who does he hold offers from?
“Western Illinois, UIC, and Chicago State.”
Wisconsin-Milwaukee is a school he took a recent visit to see their campus and program.
“It was big. I like how the players play hard in game time situations all practice.”
