Recruiting Report: Joe Pistorius (2018)
West Fargo senior Joe Pistorius has pushed his team to an undefeated start with impressive all around numbers after seven games.
“I have learned that we have a very different team then last season and that we have a lot more chemistry,” Joe told PHD recently.
Abdi Sufi is providing a second scoring option, Luke Lennon is playing his double-double role up front, and senior guards Tanner Zepeda and Brett Liebel have played their roles well. The balance is there and so have been the wins.
Tonight the Packers play Moorhead from Minnesota followed by games with Sheyenne, North, and Davies so the schedule gets tougher.
“I expect to lose some time this season and the biggest challenge that comes from that is responding to that loss and getting better from it,” Joe said.
Pistorius is taking 13-14 shots a game shooting 47 percent from the floor and 76 percent from the foul line. Joe is taking five threes a game and his hit on 31 percent of them.
“As a team this season I think we have a great shot at a state championship and that’s what my goal is,” Joe said about his 7-0 team.
“As of myself I don’t have any goals but to be the best leader I can be for my teammates and to teach the young guys how to play the right way so we can have success at the end of the season.”
Joe is scoring 19.3 points a game with 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and three steals a contest. Two schools are in contact with Joe the most.
“Minnesota State-Moorhead and Concordia-Moorhead,” Joe said about the teams showing most interest.
