Recruiting Report: Braydon Kincaid (2018)
Greenwood is off to a good start this year and much of that is due to the play of senior Braydon Kincaid. The 6’1 SG is strong with the ball and not afraid to take it to the hole. Due to this he is starting to get some D3/NAIA interest. Eric Moenkhaus is hearalded as their scorer but Kincaid has come onto the scene this year as a guy who can fill up the stat sheet.
As of now he is starting to find some interest in some smaller schools. He has some interest from DIII teams and some NAIA teams. Kincaid has visited Madonna University (MI) twice, and both Trine and Depauw once. He plans on taking another Trine visit in January. As of now, he doesn’t have any official offers but that could change as he keeps playing well.
Kincaid is a guy who will surprise you with his athleticism as he can really get up. He shoots the ball well and will bring the energy at all times. Kincaid is a hustle guy that gives you 100% all the time and still plays at a high level. He is a very good small school player that worked a lot on his game this summer.
“I worked extremely hard on getting my confidence back in my shot and I finally got it back.”
Kincaid has the attributes that everyone wants to see in a small school guard and the coaches see that as they mainly say, “My ability to see the court and attack the rim but also post up a smaller guard if need be.
Greenwood plays a pretty tough schedule with a lot of talent and Kincaid is the guy that will be able to handle the pressure that teams will put on their guards. Greenwood has a trio and Kincaid may be the best of those three. He really knows how to play the game.
As far as a future school there is a lot that Kincaid is looking for but he can find it all around the state. With his improving game and the need for strong guards, a lot of schools should be checking in on him.
“A perfect school for me would be first and foremost a match academically as I’m looking to major in criminal justice and a program that needs a guy like me with what I have to offer. I am also looking for a good team environment.”
