Prospect Spotlight: Aaron Trill (2020)
Keswick Christian sophomore forward Aaron Trill started off the season right.
The 6’4″, 200-pounder added a team-best 32 points in a season-opening win against Tampa Adventist on Monday.
Trill reminisced about his freshman campaign.
“I learned that the only way to get better individually and as a team is to think of where you want to be, assess what you need to do to get there and do everything you do in a way that will help you achieve them,” Trill told Prep Hoops Florida.
He says he’s extremely proud of his team and work ethic that he’s developed this past off-season.
“I’m excited to see us achieve the goals that we’ve set for ourselves and have worked toward,” he said.
This summer, he focused on improving all areas of his game.
“I worked on my shooting form to increase my consistency, got in the gym to work on my strength in the post and developed more ways to create open shots for myself and my teammates,” Trill said. “Some things I want to get better at this season are my court vision and ball handling which will improve my ability to play in guard positions and push the ball up the floor. I look forward to getting better with my team this season, working hard, and doing everything to glorify God.”
He attended the NBC basketball camp at Southeastern University under the direction of head coach Rjay Barsh.
“The camp taught me how personal discipline can improve all of the people around you. Always having a good attitude and giving constant extra effort will rub off on my teammates,” Trill said. “NBC was also a great week of learning to improve my skillset on the court and the coaches helped me find the best ways that I can lead my team to victories.”
No offers have come yet for Trill. However, he says he hopes he can show how he can be an all-around team leader who brings energy on and off the floor.
“As I begin receiving interest from colleges, I will be praying that God helps me make the right decision of where he wants me to continue my education and athletic career to bring glory to him,: Trill said.
Disciplined and religious, Trill is one of the hardest workers in the Tampa Bay area. He has the size to maneuver inside for lay-ins and has the form to knock down jumpers when he needs to. College programs need to take notice. I have a feeling Division II schools will love this kid initially.
