Palmetto State : Stock Risers
The holiday tourneys are now behind us and Region play will start after the New Year. Prep Hoops takes a look at some players who have seen there stock rise recently in this article.
Kyron Gray (2018) – Hartsville HS
Gray has been on a terror this pas month for the Red Foxes. Gray 6’7 has had several double-double games and a few 30 point plus games. Gray runs the floor and finishes around the cup. Gray can face-up and knockdown some shots when given the chance. Gray scored 26 points in the Red Foxes victory over North Augusta HS to win the Pepsi Carolina Classic.
Ephraim Butler (2108) – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner)
Butler is the catalyst that makes the Stags offense go. Butler a scorched the nets earlier this season for 39 points vs Summerville. Butler a streaky shooter can get to the ball to the rack whenever he wants. Butler has received some NCAA D1 interest but no offers. Butler started off with TMP last spring before heading over to Team All or Nothing.
Tuzion Brock (2018) – Southside HS (Greenville)
Brock is a tough cookie on the floor. Brock a AAU teammate of Gray with Team South Carolina brings a great winning attitude to the floor. Brock fills the stat sheet with rebounds, steals and assists. Brock gets into the gaps and brings great attitude and mindset to the floor. Brock won a 3-A State Championship last season with the Tigers.
Desmond Murray (2019) – Williston-Elko HS (Williston) (pictured on front)
Murray recently helped the Blue Devils win the Hawk Invitational. Murray 6’3 has moved his game into the back court and brought the ball up the floor laot today as the primary ball handler. Murray a streaky shooter has the ability to post up and stalk the baseline. Murray played this summer with Aiken Select.
