Palmetto State : CNHY Showcase 2021 Players
Prep Hoops has had a chance to see plenty of underclassmen this past year since launching the site in January 2017. Prep Hoops takes a look at some of the 2021 talent that played in the CNHY Showcase this past Saturday at Cardinal Newman in Columbia.
Joshua Beadle – Cardinal Newman
Beadle was very impressive on Saturday vs Gray Collegiate. Beadle 6’4 left-handed guard showed a lot poise and maturity on the floor with a team like Gray Collegiate. Beadle connected on mid-rage jumpers and floaters in the lane to help the Cardinals almost pull this game out. Beadle played some last season as a 8th grader for the Cardinals on the varsity level.
Beadle played AAU this past summer with Team United South Carolina.
Josiah Dow – York Prep (pictured on front)
Dow recently arrived at York Prep in late November. Dow 6’5 was being home schooled back in North Carolina. Prep Hoops first saw him playing with Team United and big John Butler this past spring at a Big Shots Event at York Comprehensive HS.
Dow is very nimble around the cup and can step-out and knock down the 10-12 footer on the floor. Dow told Prep Hoops that he will be playing AAU with CP3 this coming season.
Chase McDuffie – Gray Collegiate
McDuffie has no lack of confidence on the floor for the War Eagles. McDuffie 6’2 shooting guard came out firing this weekend. McDuffie has deep range shooting ability. McDuffie has the green light from Head Coach Dion Bethea to pull the trigger whenever necessary on the floor.
Tony Lorick – Cardinal Newman
Lorick is just a 8th grader (2022) for the Cardinals. Lorick moved in this season after attending Commonwealth Academy (MA) last season. Lorick is still getting caught up to the speed of the game and will be a kid to monitor down the road for the Cardinals.
