With all things being considered, our prediction covers three categories: individual production, team performance, and level of competition. We will release one candidate each day, with the players organized in alphabetical order by last name. Here, we profile Rock Creek Christian 2018 forward Jermaine Harris.
PRODUCTION
Harris is on the short list for the most productive players you will find in the DMV, regardless of position. At close to 6-foot-10, the Rhode Island commit is a versatile offensive threat who can face up and attack off the bounce or score with his back to the basket. He shoots a high percentage from the foul line, racks up rebounds, and protects the rim with pride.
PERFORMANCE
The road won’t be easy, as we saw by last night’s result – a 1 point loss to a very good Woodrow Wilson Team. Head Coach Christian Cole is always demanding the best from his team, and Harris as an individual. They should be able to take lessons from last night’s contest and apply them down the road.
COMPETITION
We’ve seen in the past how well RCCA has performed with a strong schedule, but this season is new and they will have to prove themselves all over again. Their schedule in Capital Beltway League play is no cake walk, as they will match up against rivals Riverdale Baptist, National Christian, and Capital Christian. None of these teams really have a player who can match up with Harris, and for that reason he is almost a lock to return to the All Met First Team.
