Best Unsigned Senior
PG Kaleb Thornton (Bolingbrook)
Thornton is a lead guard that plays with a lot of speed. Pushes it in the open floor and has the ability to get to the rim and finish. Active defender that gets steals and turns them into points at the other end. Should be heavily looked at by low-major programs.
Top Prospect
SG Perry Cowan (DePaul Prep)
Cowan is a top five prospect in the 2019 class. The shooting guard has a smooth offensive game that allows him to score. Best using his pull up jump shot and can also post up smaller defenders. Cowan is tracking as a mid-major prospect with high-major upside. We are really looking forward to getting our first eval of him this season.
Most Intriguing Young Prospect
PG Ahron Ulis (Marian Catholic)
The younger brother of Phoenix Suns lead guard Tyler Ulis is carving out his own name on the Illinois basketball scene. He is more of a scoring point guard that has range on his three point shot and can get to the basket. Solid passer as well.
Most to Gain at Tournament
PF Jeremiah Oden (St. Rita – 2019)
This event will provide a four day event for this talented 2019 prospect to elevate his stock. He has all the physical tools with length, size, and athleticism. Flashes skill, but it isn’t consistent. Big opportunity for him at Hinsdale Central!
Final Four Picks and Champion
We are going to go with Bolingbrook to win this one. Their guard play is off the charts with a trio of Tyler Cochran, Kaleb Thornton, and Joseph Yesufu. Depth continues to emerge and they have the experience from last season.
