Cumberland County Holiday Classic Standouts Part 1
EE Smith Senior Guard Isaac Bonds: He is a very athletic guard that can truly flourish in transition, he brings effort on the defensive end and has a nice IQ for the game. His lateral quickness and quick hands make him a force on the defensive end of the floor, should pick up some college interest late in the season.
EE Smith Junior Forward Ishmael McNeil: Ishmael is a dual threat player, he can score the ball at a decent rate as well as rebounding the ball. At 6’4 he provides the Golden Bulls with some much needed height, as the team features a high amount of smaller guards.
EE Smith Sophomore Forward Jaylen Siermons: He scored 14 points in their matchup , shooting 60% from the field as well as pulling down 7 rebounds. At a young age he shows flashes of how good he can possibly be in the future if he continues to work on his craft.
South View HS Senior Guard Dezmin Clark: Throughout the holiday classic he scored in double figures for his squad, providing much needed scoring. He also gets a high amount of steals, averaging over 2 steals per game, he has good on ball defense and gets into passing lanes.
Douglas Byrd HS Senior Forward Aireus Byrd: He provides a nice amount of offense for the Eagles as he is averaging over 15 points per game. There is a nice amount of athletic ability in his game and uses it on both ends of the floor to help his squad.
Grays Creek Junior Guard Christian Crockett: There is not too many players that get off the ground quicker than this young man. He scores the ball efficiently as a slasher, and always plays the game on his toes.
Grays Creek Junior Guard Trevor Thomas: Trevor has a nice ability to score the ball, he can shoot it well from deep and finish inside the paint. His acceleration helps him get to where he want on the court without much difficulty and is always under control.
