Williamson has done about every thing for the Griffins the past 3 seasons. Williamson averaged 36.8 ppg, 13 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 3 steals and 2.5 blocks last season.
The Griffins finished the season at 29-6 and defeated Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach in the State Championship Game 76-52. Williamson scored 51 points in the final game.
Williamson enters the season with 2,511 career points. Williamson has played in 81 games for the Griffins over the period of the last 3 seasons. Williamson played in just 20 games as a freshman after getting hurt.
Zam Fredrick II currently holds the All-Time Leading Scorer in the Palmetto State. Fredrick II (1999-2004 Calhoun County HS scored 3,481 points. Fredrick went onto play at Georgia Tech and South Carolina.
Williamson has connected on 75% (1012-1352) from the floor over his career. How many of those have been dunks ? – I can only imagine.
Williamson played with SC Supreme AAU this past summer on the Adidas Gauntlet Circuit. Williamson has taken narrowed his list down to Kentucky, Clemson, Kansas, Duke, North Carolina and South Carolina. Williamson has visited all of these schools this fall. Williamson is suppose to be tripping to Clemson this coming weekend.
The Griffins will play open the season up next Tuesday October 14 in Arden, NC at the Christ School.
The Griffins will play at the Beach Ball Classic after Christmas in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Griffins will travel to Springfield, MA to play in the HoopHall Classic over Martin Luther King Weekend.
The Griffins will be a tough ticket to get this season and if you do plan on attending – 2 words of advice – ARRIVE EARLY. Prep Hoops SC will for sure get plenty of Zion and his teammates this season.
