Word Of God vs Northwood Temple Standout Players
Word of God Christian 2019 Guard Ta’Lon Cooper: Had a very impressive performance, he go to whatever spots he wanted on the court and made very good decisions when attacking the defense. His midrange jump shot was automatic and he displayed good ball security with a low amount of turnovers.
Word of God Christian 2018 Forward Aaron Cash: If there was an award for high motors, it would definitely have to go to Aaron. He plays the game with a high amount of energy, while using his athletic ability to make up for any height differential.
Word of God Christian 2019 Wing Jamal King: Jamal seems to be more comfortable with his role in the WOG offense now and he’s finding his spots where he can score the ball. He shot a high percentage throughout the night and showed why MM+ programs should be on him, he’s strong, athletic and can defend well when he’s locked in.
Word of Christian 2020 G/F Todd Burtt: Out of all the players on the court, he may have been the most intriguing one that we watched. He can play multiple positions with his height and skillset, and has all the tools to be a very special player. He scored the ball well from the high post area and displayed a nice IQ for the game overall, nice looking prospect.
Northwood Temple 2018 Forward Ian Steere: In his first game back from an injury that sidelined him for quite a few games, Ian had his best showing of the season finishing with 25 Points. He finished inside the paint, knocked down the trey ball and of course he showed his ability to play above the rim on both ends with dunks and blocked shots.
Northwood Temple 2019 Guard Josh Nickleberry: Josh had a solid showing overall, he shot the ball well from deep and knocked down some contested shots as he usually does. On the offensive side of the floor you already know that he’s going to do what he does, on the defensive end he gave the effort that we love to see, even in picking up the oppositions guard with full court pressure.
Northwood Temple 2019 Guard John Michael Wright: John has come a long way and he continues to get better and show why he’s one of the Top PG’s in the area. He doesn’t back down from any type of challenge and has a midrange game that is automatic, which is refreshing to see in this day and age. He has developed into a True PG and should be on the radar of a good amount of D1 coaches.
