Stall HS Holiday Tourney – Top Performers
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at the top performers today from the Stall HS Holiday Tourney.
Romello Grant (2019) – Stall HS
Grant was a man-child in the paint for the Warriors in the Championship Game. Grant just 6’2 scored 30 points while connecting on 15 – 2 point baskets. Grant scored all his points within 2-4 feet from the basket except for one he extended out to the free throw line.
Grant is a junk yard dog around the cup and plays with a great energy and passion. Grant played last season at Military Magnet where he averaged 16 ppg.
Jalen Bailey (2019) – Stall HS (pictured on front)
Bailey a left-handed combo guard had 16 points on 4 three pointers in the Championship Game vs Pinewood Prep. Bailey is quick end to end with the ball and possesses a sweet looking stoke on the perimeter. Bailey transferred into Stall HS from Military Magnet with Grant this summer. The duo played AAU together with Johnny Brown and Charleston Strong.
Chris Fordham (2018) – Goose Creek HS
Fordham is finding his way back after being all last season and AAU season. Fordham a athletic guard is still working on his perimeter skills. Fordham has received interest from Newberry (SC) (NCAA D2) and Wofford is keeping tabs on him according to Gators Head Coach Blake Hall.
Jalen Slawson (2018) – Pinewood Prep
Slawson is the leader of this Panthers squad. Slawson 6’8 can play inside-out on the floor. Slawson helped the Panthers win a buzzer beater over Goose Creek in semifinals. Slawson is ranked #10 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class and already signed with Furman University for next season.
Caleb Houston (2021) – Northwood Academy
Houston plays for his father Anthony Houston on the Chargers squad. Houston can get into the lane quite easily and shows a nice mid-range game. Houston 5’10 will look to to lead the new look Chargers this season with just 2 players returning from last seasons team.
Bryson Rose (2018) – Academic Magnet
Rose was hampered with a right knee injury for the Raptors. Rose connected on over 120 three pointers last season and went over 1,000 career points last season.
