The Gators led just 20-11 at halftime. The Gators came out in the 4rd quarter with some quick baskets out in transition Travelle Simmons and Chris Fordham.
The Gators eventually pulled away in the 2nd half and won the game 49-30. The Gators had plenty of balance scoring with Erick Bennett leading with way with 9 points, Simmons and Fordham 8 points,
Malichi Williams (2021) hit some jumpers on his way to scoring 7 points and Jamel McGowan chipped in with 6 points.
The Gators surely do miss Jaivion Garrett (2019) left-handed wing moved this summer out to Washington State to play this coming season. Garrett played AAU with the Upward Stars Southeast 2019 last summer.
Prep Hoops SC wasn’t able to catch the Lowcountry Leadership vs Hanahan game going on in the back gym at the same time. The games over lapped and wasn’t able to get back to watch.
