All-SCISA Team (Spartanburg)
Prep Hoops SC takes a look at the Upstate and the SCISA teams in Sparkle City. Spartanburg Day School has more talent than just Zion Williamson. Prep Hoops SC will take a look at the region right here in this article.
Cal Wooden (2018) – Oakbrook Prep
Wooden 6’3 undersized post isn’t afraid to set screens and picks while on the floor. Wooden should look to lead the Knights this season after playing AAU with Upward Stars Upstate this summer.
Chandler Lindsey (2018) – Spartanburg Day (pictured on front)
Lindsey left-handed point guard has the luxury to play with Zion Williamson night in and out. Lindsey averaged 13.9 ppg, 5.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.3 steals last season for the Griffins. Lindsey a streaky shooter on the floor is ranked #22 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class by Prep Hoops.
Lindsey excels in the transition and has little trouble getting the ball into the lane. Lindsey recently picked up a scholarship offer from Coker College (SC) (NCAA D2). Lindsey has very solid grades in the classroom.
Kyle Tracy (2018) – Spartanburg Day
Tracy is back for another year with the Griffins. Tracy averaged 10.1 ppg, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season. Tracy 6’1 left-handed guard is the 3rd cog in the offense behind Williamson and Lindsey.
Matt Brown (2018) – Spartanburg Day
Brown 6’6 is returning to the Griffins after missing last season with a ACL injury. Brown should fit back into the starting lineup for the Griffins.
Christian Kincaid (2018) – Spartanburg Christian
Kincaid was hurt during the AAU season with Upward Stars Upstate. Kincaid 6’5 left-handed forward has a nice mid-range game and good length on the floor. Looking forward to seeing him in action this season after being shutdown over the summer.
David Muncy (2019) – Shannon Forest Christian (Greenville)
Muncy 6’0 guard is ranked #38 in the 2019 Palmetto State Class. Muncy plays with a lot of grit and toughness on the floor. Muncy played this AAU season with the South Carolina Sonics and Head Coach David Bentley. Muncy averaged 22.1 ppg last season on a squad that doesn’t provide much around him.
Jakorian Martin (2018) – Oakbrook Prep
Martin 5’9 combo guard drives aggressive to the rack and can really defend the ball 94 feet. Martin is looking forward to having a big season for the Knights.
