All-SCISA Team (Columbia)
The city of Columbia host several SCISA basketball programs. Prep Hoops SC takes a look at some of the talent from here in this article.
Ryan McCray (2018) – Ben Lippen (pictured on front)
McCray is back to lead the Falcons offense after averaging over 17 ppg last season. McCray a bit of a unknown scoring guard played with Team All or Nothing this past summer. McCray is ranked #33 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class.
Daniel Dunlap (2018) – Cardinal Newman
Dunlap 6’2 leads a talented Cardinals team for Head Coach Philip Deter. Dunlap really excels in the transition game with his athleticism.
Brandon Pirie (2018) – Cardinal Newman
Pirie a sharp shooting guard should see his numbers improve this season. Pirie and Dunlap played AAU together with the South Carolina Kings.
Patrick Reedy (2018) – Cardinal Newman
Reedy 6’7 forward on the hardwood is having a big season on the football field. Reedy has recorded 57 catches for 1,068 yards.
Lucas Prickett (2018) – Hammond
Prickett a 3 sport athlete recently recorded a school record with 251 receiving yards vs Pinewood Prep. The Skyhawks (10-0) are a SCISA powerhouse in football. Prickett 6’4 has 64 receptions for 1,247 yards this season.
Matt Lee (2018) -Heathwood Hall
Lee is back for Heathwood Hall to lead the offense. Lee played this summer with the South Carolina Tigers on the AAU circuit. Lee with a bit of a unorthodox shot averaged 11.5 ppg last season for the Highlanders.
Justice Hill (2018) – Heathwood Hall
Hill is a brute and undersized in the paint for the Highlanders. Hill looks like a football player but thrives on contact. Hill averaged 10.2 ppg last season.
Cleo Canty (2019) – Hammond
Canty a left-handed point guard can get the ball into the gaps. Canty will look to sure up the Skyhawks back court this season with the addition of Burch.
Chico Carter Jr. (2019) – Cardinal Newman
Carter Jr is ranked #19 in the 2019 Palmetto State Class. Carter Jr. ran AAU with Team Charlotte this past summer.
Bryson Earle (2019) – Cardinal Newman
Earle came over to the Cardinals from nearby Spring Valley HS. Earle left-handed off guard can stroke the ball from 3.
Jordan Burch (2020) – Hammond
Burch has been a instant success on the gridiron for the Skyhawks. Burch will be a high major recruit with whatever sport he decides to play. Burch 6’5 left-handed beast is ranked #4 in the 2020 Palmetto State Class.
Isaiah Caldwell (2020) – Heathwood Hall
Caldwell saw good minutes last season and look for those numbers to increase with his brother graduating and moving onto Army. Caldwell 6’3 really can explode to the basket with his great length. Caldwell played AAU with Upward Stars Southeast 2020 this past summer.
Joshua Beadle (2021) – Cardinal Newman
The future of the 2021 class is here with the left-handed Beadle. Beadle 6’2 has a great upside and a nice mid-range game. Beadle saw minutes last season for the Cardinals as a 8th grader.
Cardinal Newman is the most talented team in the Columbia area this season in the SCISA ranks.
