All-SCISA Team (Charleston Area)
Porter Gaud is looking to 3-peat this season in the SCISA 3-A Division. Head Coach Jay Godbolt left for Lowcountry Leadership Charter School in Hollywood, SC. Godbolt led the Charleston Collegiate Academy Sun Devils to 3 State Championships in the past 4 years in SCISA 1-A.
Former Charleston Collegiate Assistant Coach Antoine Saunders joined the staff at First Baptist with Head Coach Tony Eady.

Aaron Nesmith (2018) – Porter Gaud (pictured on front)
Vanderbilt commit . Nesmith 6’6 is ranked #2 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class behind Zion Williamson.
Jake Lanford (2018) – Porter Gaud
Yale commit. Lanford 6’9 post player is ranked #5 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class.
Harrison Whatley (2018) – Porter-Gaud
Whatley is the forgotten man on this talented team. Whatley a strong academic kid in the classroom can play inside-out on the floor. Whatley 6’8 can knockdown the ball from 3 point range and even at times can put the ball on the floor.
Josiah James (2019) – Porter Gaud
Ranked #2 in the 2019 Palmetto State Class behind Christian Brown. James 6’6 left-handed guard holds several High Majors offers. James is extremely skilled and smooth on the floor.
Jalen Slawson (2018) – Pinewood Prep
Furman commit. Slawson 6’7 small forward is ranked #10 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class.
Walker Lima (2018) – Pinewood Prep
Lima will look to step-up his game this season with the departure of Brandon Miller and Michael Wright to graduation. Lima 6’1 sharp shooting guard can knock down shots in a hurry when given the chance.
Michel Dukes (2019) – First Baptist
Dukes is built like a tank and plays football and basketball for the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes won a football state championship last season. Dukes currently holds offers for football from Virginia Tech, North Carolina, South Carolina, Old Dominion University, Wake Forest and Georgia State. Dukes ran AAU with Upward Stars Southeast 2019 this past summer.
Dukes currently has over 1,400 yards on the ground this season.
Joe Powell (2019) – First Baptist
Powell 5’10 compliments Dukes very well in the back court. Powell a heady point guard can knock down shots from perimeter and get his teammates in the right spot on the floor. Powell played up a age group and ran AAU with TMP 17U team this past summer.
Devin Dean (2019) – First Baptist
Dean is 3rd man in this back court for the Hurricanes. Dean ran AAU with Upward Stars-Columbia this past summer. Dean has a nice mid-range game and can attack the rack at times.
Maliek Brown (2020) – Palmetto Christian Academy (Mount Pleasant)
Brown had a big freshman season at Palmetto Christian Academy. Brown averaged 20 ppg and 11.5 rebounds. Brown is a very bouncy and athletic forward. Brown played with the Upward Stars Southeast 2020 squad.
Chase Cannon (2020) – Porter Gaud
Cannon 6’7 left-handed forward transferred into the Cyclones from nearby Wando HS. Cannon will come off the bench this season on this squad. Cannon showed good glimpses last season for the Warriors and the TMP 15U this summer.
Northwood Academy had several kids transfer out after last season. Prep Hoops will see the Chargers here this first semester to see what new talent they have on the roster.
