SCBCA 4-A Preseason Team
Grant Singleton Lakewood HS (PHOTO on the Front)
Singleton 5’11 led the Gators to the school first Region 6-4A title last season. Singleton has a knack to hit shots and come off the ball screen so well while attacking the basket. Singleton and Gators were eliminated from the playoffs by the eventual Class 4A state champion Lower Richland in the third round last season. Singleton was Region Player of the Year last season.
Kevin Williamson Aiken HS
Williamson a ultra-athletic kid that plays every possession hard while on the floor. Williamson has a constant motor that never turns off while playing. Williamson led the Green Hornets to Region title and helped them to the third round of the Class 4A playoffs last season.
Wells Hoag Greenville HS
Hoag helped lead the Red Raiders to Region 1-A title last season. Hoag averaged 15 ppg and 4.3 rebounds a game last season.
Diamonte Brown A.C. Flora HS
Brown is a physically gifted and skilled combo forward position. Brown will look to be leader of the Falcons after the transfer of Christian Brown. Brown was key piece to Falcons run to the third round of the Class 4A playoffs last season.
Malcom Kennedy York Comprehensive HS
Kennedy a guard that shoot from anywhere on the floor. Kennedy will key piece to helped the Cougars make the playoffs this year.
Prep Hoops South Carolina would like to add to this list regardless of classification some other players in Class 4-A to watch this season.
Christian Brown (2019) Lower Richland HS
Brown is the best player in the 2019 class after transferring over to Lower Richland HS. Brown played the past two seasons at A.C. Flora HS where he averaged 15.1 ppg last season. Brown looks to help the Diamond Hornets repeat as Class 4A state champions.
Alex Caldwell (2018) Wilson HS
Caldwell averaged 14 ppg to lead the Tigers to Class 4A Lower State Finals. Caldwell signed to play at Southeast Missouri State next season, Caldwell a point guard is back to lead Derrick McQueen’s squad.
Trae Hannibal (2019) Hartsville HS
Hannibal a explosive guard for the Red Foxes averaged 12.8 ppg and 7.0 rebounds last season. Hannibal 6’2 point guard that lead the Red Foxes to the second round of Class 4A state playoffs. Hannibal is looking for a breakout season and look for his recruitment to climb.
Russell Jones (2019) Westwood HS
Jones a water bug point guard constantly creates havoc on the floor. Jones disrupts guards and keep them uncomfortable which causes turnovers. Jones plays with a lot of fight in the tank when on the floor.
Malcolm Wilson (2019) Ridge View HS
Wilson a 6’11 center runs like a deer and alters shots on the defensive end. Wilson has received offers from Clemson, South Carolina and Virginia Commonwealth University
