Recruiting Report: Ryan Dirckx
The Cannon Falls Bombers will be led by 5-foot-10 point guard Ryan Dirckx again this winter and hopes are higher for the winter.
“Our team is going to have four new starters only I will be a returning player, but I’ve been playing with the new players since I was little, so I except us to be a much better team this year,” Ryan said.
Dirckx spent his off-season playing at the 17U level and competing with his high school squad.
“I played for the Southeast Minnesota Lightning,” Ryan said. “I also organized open gyms and pick up games in Cannon Falls. Our high school team played in a summer league in East Ridge. My junior year went well, but looking to be better as a team this year. “
Dirckx has spend a lot of time working to accomplish his goals during the off-season.
“To make me a better player and teammate I needed to work on my court vision and pushing the ball,” Ryan stated. “This year I want to be All Conference and All Area.
“I also hope my team can make a run to the section championship game for a goal, also want to win the Hiawatha Valley and Blue Division.”
Two programs have been in contact with Ryan about playing at the next level.
“St. Marys and Viterbo have contacted me about playing.”
