Recruiting Report: Ethan Sherrill (2018)
Farragut six-foot guard Ethan Sherrill is a senior ready for his team to surprise this year and he’s starting to get in contact with schools.
“I played AAU with Tennessee Fury, with my high school team we played at many camps throughout the summer, and I did personal one on one training with my coach,” Ethan said to Prep Hoops.
Sherrill was a key piece to his team a year ago and he’s focused on both skill work and defensive improvements.
“I’m trying to focus on my defense on ball and shooting,” Ethan said. “Everyday I get into the gym and put up shot whenever I can.”
Expectations aren’t high statewide for Farragut because they are going through some changes but Ethan thinks they will surprise.
“Well we just got a new coach and we aren’t expected to do much but people will really see what we have coming,” Sherrill stated. “My goals are to be in top two in district, make it to state, and get all district and maybe all state.”
Ethan spent his summer working at camps and he’s heard back from one of them.
“I’ve been to a few camps (Eastern Tennessee State, Maryville, Carson Newman) and been in contact with Maryville some.”
